Consultation and dissemination on Household flood resilience and protection Defra, in association with LANDFSRM, are holding four regional one-day events as part of Defra's current consultation on policy options for promoting household flood resilience and protection. Survey on impermeable and permeable surfaces One of the measures being used to help manage surface water is the requirement for planning permission to pave domestic front gardens unless permeable surfaces are used through changes to Permitted Development Rights (PDR). This electronic survey will inform government decisions, impact assessments and help develop a response to the Pitt recommendations that relate to the introduction of permeable surfaces. The questionnaire should only take around 20 minutes and the deadline is 17 October 2008.
